The return of Israel to Jerusalem under Ezra represents the sifting of the Divine thoughtforms from the lower thoughtforms of creation, and the rebuilding of a temple not of stone, but of Spirit. The men of the Great Assembly must put off their foreign wives all the daughter religions and false god systems that prevent them from seeing the higher vision: the Holy City of Jerusalem coming down from above as a bride.
